The sword was exactly as advertised. I was a little skeptical. High carbon, differentially heat treated blade! Many times, blades have true bevels, and then a steel-ground micro-bevel is placed on the edge, destroying its ability to effectively cut material (because the angle of the bevel is so blunt that it is useless). This sword has only a very sharp bevel, or razor-sharp edge. The pattern on the blade is also very beautiful, and I’m sure this sword was not a simple project. It is very well made and worth the price.
